Children’s Clinic STL

The clinic, which occupies 5,600 square feet in an existing medical office building, consists of two individual waiting rooms, 22 exam rooms, and a shared workspace. The goal for the clinic’s renovation was to create a big impact on patients and families while keeping costs and disturbance low.

The overall design concept creates a fun, playful pediatric office using bright color blocking to help define corridors, exam rooms, and waiting rooms. Bold, colorful signage for exam rooms, which integrates the client’s logo, is customized to serve as chart holders and space for medical work orders. The signage is installed over an orange, lime, or blue vertical, floor-to-ceiling color stripe adjacent to the exam room door. This design detail adds a vibrant, wayfinding aesthetic.
