PROJECT BACKGROUND & DESCRIPTION

Spellman Brady & Company, a national leader in artwork planning and consulting for healthcare environments, is seeking to review portfolios from sculptors with interest in a project in St. Louis, MO.  The work requested is part of a memorial garden celebrating the life of Sister Catherine McAuley and her mission of helping the sick and poor through a traditional story telling medium of a bronze bas relief.

NOTE: This is not the RFP, but a vetting process to determine the sculptor’s capabilities to submit a formal Request for Proposal.

Project Type:      Exterior Bronze high/low bas relief; inset into stone wall
             Size:      12’-0”w x 6’-0”h x 3”d approximately overall
                          2 panels @ 159º angle to create a curved wall
 
ARTIST SUBMISSIONS MUST INCLUDE
  1. Cover Letter (1 page maximum) with a brief statement identifying why you would like to be considered for this project. Include any past experience creating bas relief of this type.
  2. Three (3) references (contact name, email and phone number)
  3. Your contact information (name, mailing address, email address and phone number)
  4. No more than seven (7) digital images of recent work (within the last five years). You may submit via email in PDF format or on a CD as a JPEG (150dpi minimum). Please include a corresponding document that lists each file name or image number, along with: artist’s name, title, medium, dimensions, location and date of piece.
ARTISTS MAY ALSO INCLUDE:
  1. Your website or web address featuring your work
  2. 2-4 images of your work installed in a public space
